Awards

Nominations for NABJ’s 2025 Awards are now closed. Nominations for the Salute to Excellence, Hall of Fame, and Special Honors were accepted until midnight PT on Friday, February 14, 2025. The deadline will not be extended.


The NABJ Hall of Fame recipients are selected by a special selection committee and the NABJ Board of Directors.


The NABJ Hall of Fame and Special Honors awards will be announced and distributed at our annual convention in Cleveland. Salute to Excellence awards are mailed after winner entries are verified.


NABJ convention registrants will be able to purchase their tickets for the NABJ Salute to Excellence Gala and Hall of Fame Induction Luncheon through the registration form or Attendee Service Center.

No, due to our 501(c)3 status, we are unable to accept the booth registrations from any government agencies.


No, we do not offer any vendor/sales booths at the career fair. The career fair is strictly for career/education recruitment, networking and exhibiting business & services.

Exhibitor Alert

Unauthorized vendors and unofficial solicitations for registration, housing, booth space, meeting space, or attendee/participant mailing lists may target you. In the event that you receive a call or email offering services or purchases related to NABJ, or encounter a suspicious website, please contact registration@nabj.org to verify legitimacy.

Hotels

The #NABJ25 hotels are listed HERE.


The #NABJ25 discounted standard and double room rate is $179 + room tax. In order to be guaranteed the group rates, all room reservations must be made on or before the Friday, July 18 cut-off date. After the cut-off date, the hotels will determine whether or not they can accept reservations at the NABJ group rate based on space and rate availability.


Upon booking your reservation, your credit card will be charged a deposit equal to the first night's room and tax.


The hotel requires a 72-hour cancellation notification prior to the arrival date and the guest may then cancel the reservation with no penalties. However, if the reservation is canceled less than 72 hours prior to the arrival date, the guest will forfeit their deposit of the first night's room and tax.

Media Credentials

#NABJ25 media credential information and deadlines are coming soon. In the interim, you may contact press@nabj.org for media inquiries.


  • Courtesy media credentials are intended solely for individuals representing news organizations or media platforms to observe and cover the event. Otherwise, paid convention registration is required to participate in special events, meal functions, and sessions. If you plan to cover the event as media while also registering as an attendee, you must still submit a credentials application to ensure proper clearance.
  • All working media wishing to cover the NABJ Convention must be pre-approved and present both an official NABJ press pass and a confirmation email from the press team for event access.
  • Media passes cannot be obtained at the registration desk or exhibit hall and are non-transferable. Requests for media access will only be accepted online; in-person applications will not be accommodated onsite. A media credential application will be available here in the coming weeks.
  • Media representatives who arrive without approved documentation will be required to complete the approval process online before being granted access to the Convention space. For security purposes, only approved applicants will receive written instructions on how and where to pick up press credentials.
  • Corporate or organizational media teams, BTS crews, and production crew members working with approved partners and their talent to produce media content and coverage during the Convention must also apply for credentials. The press team will coordinate this process with partners directly. However, if crew members plan to participate in convention activities, they must also register separately.
  • To be notified when credential applications open, email press@nabj.org. Reminder: Credentials cannot be used for unauthorized purposes or as an alternative to paying for event access.

Yes, we offer early-bird registration discounts for current members and attendees to attend the convention. Please watch our eblasts, website and social media pages for announcements on early-bird deadlines.


Yes, you can transfer your registration by June 1, 2025. Click HERE to review the requirements and submit your transfer request.


You will need to pick up your name badge along with convention materials when you arrive at the Huntington Convention Center of Cleveland. Your name badge serves as entry to all convention functions except invitation-only events. The #NABJ25 registration desk is located in Atrium Ballroom B & E.


Registration Policy

By registering or applying for NABJ Convention & Career Fair participation, you agree to abide by all rules and requirements that may be in place now or later, which includes during the convention. You understand that refusal to adhere to rules and requirements may lead to immediate expulsion from NABJ events. You understand that rules are subject to change at NABJ's sole discretion.


Special Events

To purchase special event tickets, please use the #NABJ25 Convention and Career Fair Attendee Service Center (ASC). The ASC is your one-stop-shop resource to all things regarding your convention registration. From the ASC 's "Registration" drop-down menu you are able to do the following:

• Register an additional guest
• Purchase special event tickets
• Pay outstanding balances


TO ADD additional sales items:
Log in to the ASC using the registration access information located in your registration confirmation letter. Once logged into the system, click "Additional Sales Items" from the "Registration" drop-down menu, then click "Edit Conference Registration Fees" to add registrations or tickets. Next, enter your payment information then click "Submit..

TO PAY an outstanding balance: Log in to the ASC using the registration access information located in your registration confirmation letter. Once logged into the system, click "Registration Payment" from the "Registration" drop-down menu to process your balance payment. Next, confirm your payment method in the drop-down menu, enter your payment amount in the field(s) provided, click the green check button icon, and enter your credit card information, then click "Submit."


TO UPDATE existing sales items: Log into the ASC using the registration access information located in your registration confirmation letter. Once logged into the system, click "Registration Fee Update" from the "Registration" drop-down menu, then click "edit" to add registrations and/or tickets. Next, edit your sales items and enter your credit card information, then click "Submit."


Volunteer

Volunteers who donate their time for a full day can earn a day of convention access Wednesday through Friday (excluding ticketed events). Those who volunteer for extended hours on multiple days may have the opportunity to be considered for attendance at awards galas and the Gospel Brunch, if applicable. Please stay tuned for announcements on how to sign up as a volunteer.


Workshop Sessions

The call for member session proposals closed at midnight PT on Friday, February 14, 2025. This deadline will not be extended.


Convention partners and sponsors may submit their workshop and session proposals starting Monday, December 4, 2024 through midnight PT on Friday, May 30, 2025. Existing partners will receive access information for the portal via email notification from programming@nabj.org.
